Our Vision for the Kumamoto YMCA College Japanese Language Department

YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) is an international social service organization with a network in 120 countries around the world. In Japan, the YMCA is widely known as a public-interest social education organization that has nurtured many young people who contribute to society in 35 major cities, including Tokyo and Osaka.
Kumamoto YMCA College aims not only to provide high-quality Japanese language education that enables students to pursue further education in Japan, but also to create a multicultural society where young people from various countries can learn about one another's history and culture and deepen their friendships.

Environment

The Kumamoto YMCA Main Building / Global Community Center, where the full-time course is located, provides an environment where students can easily interact with Japanese people. Students can study in the same building as Japanese students attending the vocational college. Make good use of events, breaks, lunchtime, and other opportunities to interact with Japanese students.
