寒い冬が長かった分、
あたたかい春がやってきてリーダーも先生たちも心うきうきで毎日を過ごしています。
Now, we are enjoying the most beautiful season after the long cold winter.
ＹＭＣＡでは今年もみなさんが「地球市民（ちきゅうしみん）」に一歩一歩近づくことができるよう、先生もリーダーもがんばります。
Again, teachers and leaders will try their best to support you to become a global citizen.
ところで英語ができれば、それで「地球市民（ちきゅうしみん）」なんでしょうか？
If you can speak English, are you a global citizen?
そうではありません。
Maybe not.
地球市民（ちきゅうしみん）とは、相手を思いやる気持ちやちがいを受入れる心が欠かせません。
It is important to have "Caring" and "Respect"to become a global citizen.
ＹＭＣＡの英語のレッスンでもこのお話がときどき出てくるので、どうぞみなさんよく聞いておいてくださいね。
Please listen carefully when leaders and teachers talk about the 4 core values in classes.
